The hemp and CBD leader is getting behind a leading US soccer team

Angel City Football Club (ACFC) is a National Women’s Soccer League expansion team that began play this year. The team has many high-profile owners, including Becky G, Natalie Portman, Eva Longoria, Mia Hamm, and Serena Williams. That large portfolio of stars has now also been joined by leading cannabis company Charlotte’s Web Inc. The firm will begin acting as the team’s official cannabidiol (CBD) partner.

The joining of forces between the two parties was essentially inspired by a shared interest in wellness solutions and the entities’ strong mission to use products that provide a better quality of life. Through Angel City’s sponsorship model, which helps the LA community, Charlotte’s Web and the team will focus on wellness, health promotion, and support for the city’s LGBTQ+ seniors.

As many industry followers know, Charlotte’s Web is recognized as the market leader when it comes to innovative hemp-based products, including creams, sprays, edibles and more. Many of them are used by sports professionals for active recovery, as well as the everyday aches and pains of the elderly.

This new alliance with ACFC further opens the door to the company’s mission to help heal people through science and compassion. The company has never before partnered with a sports team, so the venture has a lot of promise.

Both Charlotte’s Web and ACFC will work together to utilize the impact program to provide funding and programming to the Los Angeles LGBT Center. The focus will be on the wellness and health of adults and seniors at the center.

In addition, the cannabis firm will use the partnership to give product giveaways on game day. Additionally, it will receive logo placement during Angel City home games, and will be activated at the team’s popular pre-game Fan Fests.
