Aphria’s domination of the cannabis market was just reinforced a few days ago. The annual kind Awards, organized and hosted by kind Magazine, a free print cannabis lifestyle magazine in Canada, were presented on December 10 and Aphria took home several awards in different categories. Among all of the options available, four of Aphria’s adult-use brands were selected as winners, leading to a total of six awards.
Aphria’s showing in the presentation is the best by any single licensed producer since the awards were first introduced. Over 150 Canadian budtenders voted on which companies and products deserved to be recognized, making their choices in 22 categories. The top awards went to Aphria’s Good Supply, Solei, RIFF and Broken Coast.
Of those four, Good Supply took the award in three categories: Indica Cartridge of the Year, Sativa Cartridge of the Year and Hybrid Cartridge of the Year. Solei was given the award for the best CBD Brand of the Year, and the Indica Pre Roll of the Year award went to RIFF’s Subway Scientist. Aphria’s last award went to Broken Coast for Craft Cannabis Brand of the Year.
Aphria chairman and CEO Irwin D. Simon said in a statement about the awards, “It is a great honour to have Good Supply, Solei, RIFF, and Broken Coast recognized, by Canada’s budtenders. Not only do these awards speak to the quality of product, but to the continued strength of our brands. Budtenders play a vital role in propelling the industry forward, which is why these awards mean so much to us. We understand the value budtenders bring and often use their feedback to help drive innovation. They are the boots on the ground, providing much-needed education through their daily interaction with consumers and we truly value the fact that our brands came top of mind across all these categories.”
