It is well known that Florida is a fairly key state for cannabis-related business development and Ayr Wellness Inc. wants to take full advantage of that. The leading vertically integrated multi-state cannabis operator (MSO) announced last Thursday the opening of Liberty Health Sciences Key West, the company’s 37th dispensary in the Sunshine State.
The 1,500-square-foot location has a presence on the main avenue of downtown Key West, making it a fairly strategic spot as it is also close to shopping, dining, and assorted attractions. Knowing that the acceptance and visitation from many enthusiasts are going to be huge, Ayr has taken on the task of filling this dispensary with a wide range of floral products, not to mention the company’s recently launched Origyn concentrates and Big Pete’s Cookies.
Jonathan Sandelman, CEO of Ayr, said, “We continue to execute our Florida plan, opening dispensaries in prime locations while continually improving our cultivation efforts to become the highest quality cultivator at scale in the state. Our updated product offerings, including a diversified strain selection and the launch of Origyn Extracts and Big Pete’s Cookies, have already contributed to an improved customer experience and the results are beginning to show.”
As time has gone on, Florida has shown steady growth when it comes to the medical marijuana market. In fact, as a clear example of this, the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use has shared data quite relevant to this, as it reports over 582,883 registered patients as of July 2, 2021, which represents a 61% increase year over year.
Ayr has wanted to continue expanding in these lands, and according to data like this, it seems to be a pretty smart move. Anyone interested in visiting this dispensary should know that its hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 8:30 PM ET and Sundays from 10 AM to 5 PM ET.
