Ayr Wellness brings Origyn concentrates to Florida

The cannabis company has added the new line to its Liberty Health Sciences dispensaries

The Florida medical cannabis market is constantly growing, both with new participants and products. Ayr Wellness has an established footprint through the Liberty Health Sciences dispensaries it operates and has just expanded the offerings found at its stores. The company announced yesterday that it is introducing its Origyn premium concentrate line to the dispensaries, one of the first brands the company expects to add this year.

Origyn products are going to start to be rolled out at the beginning of next month. The company plans on introducing Wax, Crumble and Rick Simpson Oil initially, with other products, such as Shatter, being added later this year. Origyn is already available at Ayr Wellness shops in Massachusetts and is reportedly one of the top-selling concentrate brands on the market. In March, over $2.2 million in Origyn products was sold in the Massachusetts market.

Jonathan Sandelman, CEO of Ayr, said, “Since we completed the acquisition of Liberty Health Sciences in late-February, our team has been hard at work improving the operation and bringing it up to Ayr standards. That process has included a lot of improvements and retrofits to the Gainesville cultivation and production facility, but also means bringing some of our most popular brands in from other states. Origyn has done very well in Massachusetts since its launch, and we’re very excited to bring these quality concentrates to the Florida medical market. This is just the beginning of what patients can expect to see in terms of quality and selection coming to the LHS stores as we continue to improve operations.”

Through the Liberty Health Sciences brand, Ayr Wellness is the fourth-largest cannabis retailer in Florida, operating 35 dispensaries. With another five expected to launch before the end of the year, the company is continuing to expand in the market and offer its products to the more than 560,000 registered medical marijuana patients in the state.
