A month in the cannabis industry cannot end without Ayr Wellness releasing news indicating just how big its effort to expand further into the US territory is. The nation’s leading multi-state cannabis operator (MSO) recently announced the opening of its 48th dispensary in Florida. Residents and visitors to Longwood, a northeastern suburb of Orlando, will now have no excuse to consume this cannabis firm’s high-end products.
Nearing the 50-dispensary mark, Ayr hopes to be located in every corner of the Sunshine State in hopes of meeting the high demand of its consumers. The new dispensary has an extension of 2,300 square feet of retail space and best of all, a special drive-thru has been set up for those cannabis lovers who enjoy their product on the go.
The new store will include Ayr’s extensive line of products, ranging from concentrates, to vapes, edibles and even a growing selection of high-quality flowers. Recently the Kynd premium whole flower and Later Days whole flower were launched and have since been a boom with customers.
Jonathan Sandelman, founder, president and CEO of Ayr, said he and his team are once again excited to see how the company is expanding its operations in the state of Florida. He added, “Since acquiring Liberty Health Sciences just last year, we have added 17 new stores across the state and provided more choice to the market via the introduction of a wide selection of products from our national brand portfolio. We will continue to grow our presence during the second half of this year.”
Ayr made the smart decision to purchase Liberty Health Sciences (LHS) early last year. At the time of the acquisition, it included a package of 31 dispensaries in the state, but it hasn’t taken the company long to turn that figure into a larger number. Currently, Ayr is still doing the necessary paperwork to relocate its Dania Beach dispensary, which is expected to reopen early next month.
Congratulation!
