Massachusetts and its residents will now see an expansion of Ayr Wellness, one of the largest multi-state operators (MSO) in the country. The broad reach is due to the firm’s recent receipt of a final license to sell cannabis for adult use in Watertown. This would be the company’s second approved adult-use dispensary in the greater Boston area.
The leading vertically integrated cannabis operator announced that it has received a final license for the sale of adult-use cannabis at its AYR Watertown dispensary in Greater Boston from the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC). The decision was made by a vote during a meeting held yesterday. CCC now opens the door for Ayr to continue to grow its business in the Bay State.
Commenting on the company’s new accomplishment, Jonathan Sandelman, founder, president and CEO of Ayr, said that there will now be two adult dispensaries in the greater Boston area. For him, this is a historic milestone as the city has historically been underserved in access to adult-use cannabis.
Sandelman added, “The upcoming openings of our Watertown and Back Bay locations represent a huge step forward for our Company, and we could not be more excited to introduce these communities to Ayr’s high-quality and unique product offerings, with a customer experience that delivers on the wonder of cannabis.”
Through this new green light, the company hopes to establish itself as a positive force for the Watertown cannabis market, just as it has been doing for the past several years in Boston. Sandelman assures that Ayr’s dedicated team has all the commitment necessary to use the platform to implement positive change while meeting the notable demand in the state of Massachusetts.
Congratulation!
