The cannabis MSO continues to solidify its domestic position as a market leader

Ayr Wellness is beginning to have a much closer relationship with the New Jersey recreational cannabis sales market. After receiving the necessary permits, the marijuana firm has not hesitated to expand into the Garden State. Now, three new stores will open in Central Jersey this week.

According to statements over the weekend from Jonathan Sandelman, Ayr Wellness CEO, the Eatontown, Woodbridge and Union stores will no longer be limited to medical cannabis-based business. Beginning at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, consumers can now visit the store to purchase their favorite medical marijuana products from the brand. These stores operating under the Garden State Medical banner are open to the public from 9 AM to 9 PM, Monday through Saturday, and 11 AM to 7 PM on Sundays.

These new openings bring the number of adult-use cannabis stores in New Jersey to 16. More and more options are becoming available to residents and visitors alike. It has been about a year since Ayr began its efforts to enter the lucrative cannabis market in the state.

One of its important steps in doing so was the acquisition of Garden State Medical Dispensary, and it has been providing medical cannabis solutions ever since. The company’s quest to get the necessary approval to sell recreational cannabis was a success. Now the company has no hesitation in taking advantage of its position to expand its footprint even further.

The state’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) approved Ayr’s application to become part of this market a few weeks ago. Following this approval, company spokesman Rob Vanisko said that the Central Jersey market was underserved in terms of adult-use recreational cannabis and provided Ayr with a perfect opportunity for expansion.
