Vertically integrated multi-state cannabis operator Ayr Wellness continues to expand its retail footprint in the US. It announced that Kynd, its premium whole-flower brand, will be available statewide in Pennsylvania. The company also announced the opening of AYR Indiana, its ninth affiliated medical dispensary, on Saturday, July 30.
Jonathan Sandelman, founder, chairman and CEO of Ayr, said that Kynd’s expansion to Pennsylvania will continue the introduction of the company’s varied portfolio of branded products in each market it serves. He added, “Additionally, we’re excited to introduce the AYR experience and our high-quality offerings to the medical patients of Indiana County and neighboring areas. We’ve received a tremendous reception from the local community and look forward to serving them.”
The initial launch in Pennsylvania of Kynd includes five varieties, including “Fried Cream,” Watermelon Gelato #36,” Kush Cream, The Glove, and Motor Breath. Kynd is now available at all nine company-affiliated Pennsylvania stores. Ayr-owned and third-party retail locations in Massachusetts, Arizona and Florida also sell Kynd, as does Nevada. It has been the top flower brand for nine consecutive months, according to BDSA.
Ayr Indiana, located at 2244 Oakland Avenue, is the first Indiana County medical marijuana dispensary and is just east of Pittsburgh. The retail space covers 2,500 square feet and provides medical patients access to flower, vaporizers and concentrates through a variety of national and regional brands.
The Pennsylvania and Indiana launches follow shortly after Ayr introduced new retail offerings in two other states. Most recently, it added a new Liberty Health Sciences dispensary in Florida, giving it 49 total stores in the state.
Just prior to that, it opened an Ayr dispensary in Watertown, Massachusetts. That was the company’s second shop serving the Greater Boston area. That followed a month after the company launched its first, located in Back Bay. It was the company’s initiation into adult-use retail sales in the state.
Congratulation!
