Ayr Wellness launches new holiday donation campaign for “restorative justice”

The cannabis company wants to give away $100,000 through its “12 Days of Giving” initiative

The holiday season is getting more and more in the air, and Ayr Wellness wants to take advantage of this time of year to give back to the community. Through its $100,000 holiday giving campaign called “12 Days of Giving,” the leading cannabis company seeks to carry out restorative justice initiatives.

The leading vertically integrated, multi-state US cannabis operator announced today that its second annual “12 Days of Giving” campaign has kicked off. Running through December 16, the project seeks to benefit those who, in one way or another, have been negatively affected by marijuana prohibition.

Freedom Grow and the Minorities for Medical Marijuana Project Clean Slate initiative will be the two Ayr partner organizations that will receive a $1.12 donation for each transaction made at Ayr’s proposed retail stores. The goal is to donate a total of approximately $100,000, which will help families of cannabis inmates have a great holiday season. The funds will also be used to finance consensual support for the elimination and defense of non-violent crime related to the plant.

David Goubert, the president of Ayr, says this initiative is intended to reinforce the company’s commitment to being a Force for Good. By activating 12 days of giving, Ayr will seek to make amends for certain things that war has married in different American families.

“This marks Ayr’s second year of the program, which is poised to directly benefit the families of those who have been incarcerated for cannabis offenses,” he added. “We hope that this initiative will inspire an ecosystem of giving for our customers and employees, ultimately benefitting those negatively impacted by the War on Drugs, a core focus of our Changing Legacies pillar.”
