Ayr Wellness opens two new cannabis stores in Florida

The cannabis MSO continues to expand its footprint in the state

The year could not begin for Ayr Wellness without announcing a new expansion in its favorite state, Florida. The leading vertically integrated US multi-state marijuana operator (MSO) announced yesterday that it has opened the doors to two new retail stores in the state. Residents and visitors of Orlando and Tarpon Springs will now have a new option to get the products of the different brands that this company has to offer.

The 4,800-square-foot retail property located in Turkey Lake, Orlando, is close to the world-class Orange County Convention Center as well as renowned theme parks, hotels and attractions around the city. The Tarpon Springs store, on the other hand, has 3,470 square feet of retail space and is within a highly populated residential area near popular destinations such as Tarpon Square and Tarpon Sponge Docks.

“We are excited to begin 2023 by welcoming customers to our newest locations in Ayr’s home state of Florida,” said David Goubert, President at Ayr. “2022 was a year of tremendous growth for Ayr in Florida and we look forward to building on that momentum and creating lasting relationships with even more customers in the year ahead.”

Ayr’s retail design concept has been implemented in both stores, which operate under the Liberty Health Sciences (LHS) banner. The company’s various products and national brands can be found in these dispensaries while offering customers a sensory experience that showcases samples of whole flower varieties through a “bud bar.”

Ayr Wellness continues to demonstrate its commitment to the Sunshine State and its growing medical marijuana market. By count earlier this month, Florida has more than 778,000 registered patients enrolled in its medical cannabis program, generating $2.4 billion in legal cannabis sales last year.
