Ayr Wellness to offer adult cannabis sales in New Jersey

The cannabis company secures approval to add more products to the New Jersey cannabis market

The state of New Jersey appears to be the latest focus that Ayr Wellness has added to its sales portfolio. The vertically integrated multi-state cannabis operator announced that its operations in the Garden State are now permitted after receiving the appropriate approval from the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission.

It appears that Ayr’s medical dispensaries in Woodbridge, Union and Eatontown, located in central New Jersey, will now have busy days. The company’s three outlets are the maximum number of dispensaries currently allowed under state law.

Jonathan Sandelman, founding president and CEO of the company, said he is pleased that the company was approved to begin retail operations in New Jersey and have a total of three dispensaries permitted in order to get off on the right foot. “To date, Central Jersey has the lowest number of dispensaries per capita, leaving its population under-served compared with the rest of the state. New Jersey is expected to become a highly influential state for the U.S. cannabis industry, and we are honored to help shape the market landscape from its early stages,” he added.

Julie Winter, Ayr’s vice president of retail operations in New Jersey, said this latest approval is without a doubt a major milestone for the company. Ayr looks forward to opening the doors soon so that recreational customers can enjoy its wide range of products while continuing to provide excellent service, quality and choice to its portfolio of medical customers. These new operations will definitely make the company’s profits skyrocket, especially in a state where the marijuana market is hotter than ever.
