Ayr Wellness is primarily known for its extensive efforts to expand in Florida; however, its strategy is not only limited to the Sunshine State. The nation’s leading multi-state cannabis operator (MSO) has now made it clear that Boston is also in its sights after announcing the opening of AYR in the Back Bay. It will be considered the company’s flagship dispensary in Beantown.
According to the announcement shared yesterday, sales will begin next Saturday at 10:00 AM. Such a move is of great importance to Ayr and the cannabis industry in Massachusetts as it represents the first retail sales to take place in its recreational cannabis market.
The dispensary will be strategically located at 827 Boylston Street, in the heart of Boston’s famous Back Bay neighborhood. Ayr expects the dispensary to reap great benefits from the plethora of commercial, cultural and culinary activities that surround it.
It was made clear that a wide range of cannabis brands and products will be available, including Secret Orchard vapes, Wicked edibles and, of course, Ayr’s own premium Kynd flower. The idea through this wide variety is that the store will have room for both new and experienced cannabis users.
Jonathan Sandelman, founder, president and CEO of Ayr, says he and his team are having a great time knowing they will be opening the doors to their first adult-use store in the Bay State. The CEO dedicated special thanks to the City of Boston, the Back Bay Association, the Back Bay Neighborhood Association, and all the surrounding businesses and community groups for their warm welcome.
He added, “Our team has cultivated a welcoming environment for all that adds to the integrity of this historic neighborhood and adds new jobs and community investment, and we’re excited to welcome each of you to come visit.”
A grand opening celebration is expected to be held at Back Bay Social on July 14. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM ET and Sunday from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET.
Congratulation!
