BioSteel Sports Nutrition, a brand backed by global cannabis industry leader Canopy Growth, continues to grow as time marches on. In order to have a successful September, the brand has recently announced the launch of Blue Cherry, an innovative sports drink that welcomes the partnership with the MLB’s Toronto Blue Jays.
Featuring the Blue Jays’ signature logo, the ready-to-drink beverage will be available at Sobeys stores such as Boni-Soir, Needs, IGA Quebec and Volsin. Consumers in Atlantic Canada and Quebec will have the opportunity to get their hands on the product until the end of the season.
BioSteel has secured a sponsorship with the Toronto Blue Jays for the 2022 season. As a result, the brand is now the exclusive sports and hydration beverage in the Blue Jays bullpens and dugouts. Whether the games are indoors or outdoors, fans will still be able to enjoy a large portfolio of BioSteel’s celebratory cold beverages, affectionately known as #BioSteelBaths.
The Rogers Centre will now be filled with BioSteel digital signage throughout the concourse and sampling events. Alek Manoah, All-Star pitcher for the Blue Jays, will be the recognized face behind the new Blue Cherry flavor. The pitcher has been an official #TeamBioSteel athlete since the beginning of the year, and the brand feels that now is the ideal time for him to lend his services. He has joined the long list of athletes who support their game with the brand’s line of premium hydration products.
“We’re thrilled to have the Blue Jays as our first official professional baseball partner and to offer fans a limited-edition flavour that’s the exact same product they see in the dugouts,” said John Celenza, Co-Founder of BioSteel. “This partnership builds on the continued growth of our brand throughout North America with some of the most iconic teams in sports, and we’re proud to offer both the athletes and the community a zero-sugar solution to their daily hydration routines.”
