When Charlotte Figi was having violent seizures every few minutes years ago due to a rare type of epilepsy, her parents looked everywhere for alternative treatments. After prescribed drugs didn’t do her any good, Charlotte’s mother turned to the Stanley brothers for help. That’s how the Charlotte’s Web Hemp (CNQ: CWEB strain was created – a strain that was low in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and high in CBD (cannabidiol). This strain helped Charlotte lo live a healthier life and to control the seizures; sadly, Charlotte passed away on April 7 at only 13 years old, and the company has said to have lost its “northern star.” Charlotte’s Web Inc. is now making product donations, in the amount of $1 million, in her name to the people in need during this COVID-19 crisis.
“We had to say goodbye to our sweet little Charlotte, who we really consider to be our original founder and the founder of this industry,” said Charlotte’s Web Co-Founder and Chair Joel Stanley. At about the same time that Charlotte dies, people were reaching the company to ask for help during these difficult financial times. After some thought, the executives figured that the best way to honor Charlotte and help people in need was to donate Charlotte’s Web products. “We know some people are struggling, and we got our heads together, and I’m very thankful to be able to announce that we are able to donate a million dollars’ worth of products to these struggling families,” Joel Stanley said in a video announcing the donation.
This sizeable donation is possible thanks to the company’s charitable partners at the Realm of Caring, Adaptive Training Foundation and High Fives Foundation. For people who want to receive CBD products, there is a short survey that needs to be filled out online. After the survey, a code will be sent out to get one bottle of the original CBD oil, extra strength oil, or extra strength powder capsules.
Congratulation!
