George Gremse replaces Jeremy Straub after he exited the cannabis company

Liberty Health Sciences (CNQ: LHS) continues to fine-tune its operations and put together a leading group of industry executives that can carry it into the future. As one of the primary companies offering cannabis dispensaries in Florida, Liberty Health is shaping the cannabis landscape and is going to continue to drive growth as states update their laws to allow legal consumption. To help that goal, the company has announced that Jeremy Straub, who is retiring from its board of directors, will be replaced by George Gremse.

Gremse has been a high-level manager at Fortune 500 companies and was previously on the board of directors for MetroBroward Economic Development Corporation, as well as president of Jolizmo Consulting and Investments, Inc. He has worked for companies in Florida and elsewhere in the country, as well as abroad, and has a strong background in finance and acquisitions. He also previously served in the Peace Corps, spending time with the organization in South America.

Liberty Health’s interim CEO, Victor Mancebo, states in a press release, “On behalf of Liberty, we would like to thank Jeremy for his continuous support and invaluable guidance during his tenure as Board of Director and Chair of the Audit Committee, and we wish him much success in all of his future endeavors. We are excited to welcome George to the Liberty Health Sciences Board of Directors who will take over as Chair of the Audit Committee. George complements our board of directors’ skills and experience and I am confident he will provide valuable perspectives as we continue to enhance value for all of our shareholders. He comes to us with an abundance of high-level corporate experience and possesses exemplary financial acumen.”
