Martha Stewart may have gotten her claim to fame as a cooking and home decorating guru, but she has gone much further since then. She is a strong proponent of legalized cannabis and has been involved in the marijuana industry for several years, including through the launch of her own eponymously-named brand. Stewart also has a strong relationship with Canopy Growth for the development of cannabidiol (CBD) products, and that relationship is becoming more pronounced. Canopy Growth has announced the creation of a new role at the company, specifically designed for Stewart.
Canopy Growth announced today that Stewart is now an Official Strategic Advisor for the company. In this position, she will be able to make the best use of her celebrity status and cannabis knowledge to provide better positioning for all of Canopy Growth’s products, as well as help the company with product development and branding. She is expected to play a prominent part in the development of new products, formats, flavors and strategic alliances.

The strengthening of the relationship between Stewart and Canopy Growth comes following the launch of the Martha Stewart CBD line, introduced in the last quarter of 2020. The products were developed in conjunction with Marquee Brands and provide high-quality CBD wellness supplements. In addition, earlier this year, Stewart introduced Martha Stewart CBD for Pets, also in collaboration with Canopy Growth.
