The People and Culture Officer is an increasingly important figure in a company. Good management of the people working in an organization is essential for the smooth running of a company that wants to be competitive. It can be defined as an investment in people for maximum profitability. TerrAscend is confident that Jeroen De Beijer has the experience to take on a role of this caliber.
The People and Culture Officer must be a leader and know how to manage many aspects of both the treatment of employees and the culture inside and outside the firm. The major North American cannabis operator believes that De Beijer and its more than 20 years of experience in global human resources and people management operations is the right answer.
Now with this role effective immediately, De Beijer will be responsible for managing the company’s People strategy and team. His task is to constantly work to ensure TerrAscend has an easier path to scaling all elements of its people organization, including organizational design, culture, employee experience, talent acquisition, operational efficiency, and much more.
Prior to being tapped by the cannabis company, De Beijer served as VP of Human Resources for Operations at Refresco, the largest independent global bottling company. During his tenure with the giant company, De Beijer oversaw all human resources activities for Refresco North America’s manufacturing facilities in both Canada and the US.
“I’m excited to be joining the TerrAscend Team and looking forward to leveraging my experience as a human resources professional to support the Company’s growth while improving organizational effectiveness,” said De Beijer. “TerrAscend has been undergoing an impressive period of expansion, and I look forward to working with TerrAscend’s leaders and Human Resources team to establish TerrAscend as an employer of choice in the Cannabis industry.”
