New Jersey appears to be one of the states most favored by TerrAscend. The leading cannabis company in the North American market has teamed up with Cookies to
announce late last week the opening of the first “Cookies Corner” in New Jersey, specifically located at The Apothecarium in Maplewood. Cookies is a globally recognized cannabis and lifestyle brand, and now its presence will be more evident in the Garden State.
It is expected that the Lodi and Phillipsburg locations may host the launch of additional Cookies Corners in the near future as well. The three retail spaces will become a strategic point for consumers to obtain exclusive Cookies products and accessories through an immersive, branded shopping experience.
In August of last year, TerrAscend first unveiled its licensing agreement with Cookies, giving it the opportunity to manufacture and grow the brand’s products in the hot market of this state. Since then, the company has been relentless in its plans for continued growth. In fact, approximately four months ago, TerrAscend completed the acquisition of Cage, a leading vertically integrated operator in the Michigan market, which extended its exclusive licensing agreement with Cookies for an additional three years.
The reason Cookies is recognized worldwide is due to its cutting-edge genetics and diverse selection of over 70 cannabis cultivars and 2,000 products. Cookies Corners is now considered an innovative retail experience that opens the door for customers to fully immerse themselves in the unique Cookies brand. Among the highlights of this new project will be the inclusion of branded wall displays, bud bars, as well as branded products, and soon-to-be-released vapes and pre-rolls.
“New Jersey [recreational cannabis] is off to a strong start, and we are thrilled to add the exclusive Cookies Corners shopping experience to our dispensaries, ” said Jason Wild, Executive Chairman of TerrAscend. “The addition of Cookies Corners demonstrates our commitment to offering New Jersey consumers an elevated cannabis retail experience.”
