TerrAscend launches Khalifa Kush premium cannabis brand

The cannabis company is introducing a new strain with the help of rapper Wiz Khalifa

TerrAscend continues to rub shoulders with great artists in order to take the cannabis industry to the next level. The leading cannabis operator in the North American region has announced the release of Khalifa Kush. This new hybrid strain is a variety developed and marketed by Pittsburgh rapper and acclaimed cannabis lover Wiz Khalifa. The cannabis firm, in conjunction with the Grammy-nominated recording artist, joined forces to put this product in Gage Cannabis dispensaries in Michigan starting this past weekend.

Three months ago, TerrAscend did all the necessary paperwork to obtain exclusive processing, production and retail rights to KK-branded products in The Wolverine State. The move came about through the acquisition of Gage Growth. Following the reported launch, the dozen Gage dispensaries will begin offering 1g pre-rolls and eighth-flower jars with additional KK products.

Gage Grand Rapids featured Khalifa on June 25 to commemorate KK’s expansion into the Midwest. The products of this brand are said to produce relaxing yet energizing effects. This strain is often said to have notes of citrus and pine. Although Khalifa has kept the exact genetics of the strain a secret, the cultivar is reported to be an OG Kush phenotype.
