Cookies, the California-based cannabis store chain under TerrAscend’s purview, has its eyes on different parts of the country. The store created by Mexican-American rapper Berner has been focused on expanded growth and TerrAscend has become a key player in making that happen. The leading North American operator announced earlier this month that Gage Cannabis, one of its most iconic subsidiaries, opened a new flagship cannabis sourcing center in Jackson, Michigan.
Located specifically at 118 N Columbus Street, the dispensary will be operated by Gage through a partnership with Cookies, the lifestyle and cannabis brand that has proven to be highly successful in recent years. Experts have said Berner understood the fact that focusing on genetics and cultivation drives market share because consumers want new and better cannabis products.
Berner’s Cookies brand stands out in the marijuana market for its ability to have created a premium brand around cannabis flowers. That could explain why, in 2019, Gage signed an exclusive agreement to operate Cookies brand sourcing centers in Great Lakes State.
“Michigan cannabis consumers are educated connoisseurs just like Californians,” said Berner, co-founder and CEO of Cookies. “I’m a big fan of the vibes and distinctive cannabis culture in Michigan, and I’m looking forward to bringing more of our celebrated cannabis cultivars and unique Cookies customer experiences to one of the biggest up-and-coming markets in the country.”
Residents and visitors to Jackson will be able to find the full range of Cookies products, including the Cookies, Lemonnade, Runtz, Minntz, and Grandiflora lines. The grand opening featured several events to give the business a warm welcome. From on-site activations, including a live DJ, to food trucks, stakeholders were able to celebrate the opening in an incredible way.
Congratulation!
