Broken Coast is a craft cannabis brand owned by Tilray Brands, the world’s leading cannabis and consumer packaged goods company. Since its launch, the brand has set itself apart from its competition and the recent news from Tilray is a clear sign of that. Broken Coast has now been ranked as a leader for its Sunset Sherbet flower in the Collector’s Cup b.lounge edition. The activity organized by the Budtenders Association and CannaReps took care of awarding these honors to different brands in the industry.
A total of 75 reviews were enough to involve judging the attractiveness of each cultivar, blind taste tests and its aromatic profile. The activity was accompanied by a CannaReps cannabis quality grading tool to enter the scores and a certified cannabis sommelier. This helped Broken Coast stand out against its competitors and take home the number one spot in each category during each testing session.
Broken Coast has a lot of popular and high-quality strains, but Sunset Sherbet certainly stands out from the rest. Its large calyxes are so covered with glandular trichomes that they are almost white, and its dense silver and purple-colored indica flowers have caught the attention of all participants. Caryophyllene, linalool and myrcene are the most prevalent terpenes in this strain, which has a fruity variety that evokes the taste and aroma of strawberries and guava.
Kyle Asselstine, Broken Coast’s brand manager, commented on the result, “We are honored to receive top ranking from the Budtender’s Association, leaders in education and cannabis research in partnership with Canada’s Budtenders.” Consumers across Canada, including British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta, can enjoy Broken Coast’s handcrafted cannabis flower at select retailers.
Congratulation!
